On behalf of SSE Renewables’ hydro business we want to provide you with advanced notice of planned, upcoming works at Earn Weir.
As part of their ongoing programme of investment in their hydro infrastructure, they are installing a new, automated screen cleaner to support the operations at the weir, where water is taken in for hydro power generation at Dalchonzie Power Station.
The main works are scheduled to take place between Monday 15 July and Friday 16 August 2024, but will commence with some mobilisation works on site next week.
SSE would like to reassure you that they will keep disruption to an absolute minimum throughout the duration of the works.
