The St Fillans Climate Change and Energy Group, set up as part of the Village Place Plan, has been up and running for a few months now.

One of the group’s key priorities is Resilience –in other words, how we as a community can be better prepared for things like flooding, power cuts, and other emergencies. A big part of that is making sure we can look out for and support those in the village who might need a bit of extra help when something unexpected happens.

We are currently working on a local resilience plan for St Fillans, working in collaboration with Perth & Kinross Council and other organisations to help shape it and look at possible funding.

In the meantime, if you’d like to learn more about how to prepare for emergencies, whether at home or as part of a wider community, the Ready Scotland website has lots of really useful, practical advice for dealing with emergencies.

If you are interested in joining the group or would like to find out more, please get in touch.
