Tae Sup Wi’ a Fifer is a club night hosted and programmed by James Yorkston. Previously based at the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy, Fife, it now tours to intimate venues around Scotland. Alongside host James, each show stars three varied and complimentary talents from different global avenues of folk, rock, indie, spoken word and stand-up comedy, each playing their own sets, and sometimes playing with one other.

The latest Tae Sup tour will be coming to Crieff with another exciting line-up as follows:

JAMES YORKSTON
James has released a host of critically acclaimed albums over the last 20 years both as a solo artist and as part of the collaborative project Yorkston Thorne Khan. His latest record, The Great White Sea Eagle – a collaboration with The Cardigans’ Nina Persson and The Second Hand Orchestra – was released in 2023. As an author James has published three books; his latest novel, The Book of the Gaels, came out in 2022.

KRIS DREVER 
Originally from the Orkney Islands, Kris is a songwriter, guitarist and singer who has created award-winning original music both with the folk trio Lau and as a solo musician exploring the cracks between traditional and contemporary song. He has an extensive collection of BBCR2 Folk awards, plus a fistful of Scottish NaTrads awards for everything from best album, best singer and best live act to best original song. He has worked with the likes of Jack Bruce, Eddi Reader, Mark Knopfler, Jerry Douglas and Roddy Woomble.

ROZI PLAIN
Over five albums, Rozi’s hypnotic, gently askew songs have taken her from her birthplace of Winchester through the bustling Bristol DIY scene to London’s creative epicentre. She has released music on highly respected Scottish labels Fence and Lost Map, and tours the world almost constantly – whether as a solo artist, or as a member of This Is The Kit. Collaborators and admirers include Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor, Deerhoof’s Chris Cohen, Alabaster dePlume and countless others. Rozi’s latest album Prize was released in 2023 on Memphis Industries and received glowing reviews from the likes of Pitchfork, The Guardian and Uncut.

IONA LEE
Iona is a poet, artist, music-maker, storyteller and spoken-word performer from Edinburgh. She has been a prominent member of Scotland’s live poetry scene for 10 years, appearing on radio and television and reading her work in venues and on festival stages all over the UK and Europe, including Glastonbury and the Edinburgh International Book Festival. In 2022, Iona won the John Byrne award for her poetry film, Away with the Fairies, and she appeared on Young Woman Scotland’s 30 Under 30 list. Her debut poetry collection, Anamnesis, was shortlisted for the Edwin Morgan Poetry Award.
