It’s been almost a year since we announced this project. Despite the setbacks we experienced, we finally have sign off (with a signed lease) to begin transforming this area into a wildlife and people-friendly space for everyone to enjoy!
We will start next month by tackling the pond which is currently choked with Yellow flag-iris. This will require a fair bit of manpower, so we are asking for volunteers to get stuck in and help us to clear the pond ready for re-profiling with an excavator. Eventually, if we can raise more funds, we would like to build a pond dipping platform which will be a great resource for the village’s kids.
